The 2010 Trend report by Chemistry published a few weeks ago gave us some valuable insights. And now a new presentation by Jess3 confirms the rapid evolution of the internet. Business is going social rapidly, with no way back. Really?

I have spoken to quite a few sceptic marketeers that are confused with all the social media buzz, and ask me questions on why they should go social, what is this whole Social Media” ROI Yes and ROI No” discussion? Companies like Coca Cola or Intel are clear supporters of social media and published their Corporate Guidelines. Others help out. See  Gartner or Specialised Blogs. Fact is that more than 50% of  global companies will  be doing social marketing in some form in 2010.

Our advice : Go Social but Go Slow. Test, learn and adapt. But most of all don’t forget to integrate in your offline marketing efforts. Social Media is here to stay but can only help to strengthen your brand if the value proposition to your customers is ok, if the values are honest, respectful and helpful.
